People from Rowberrow hosted their biennial fete to raise money for the village’s church and to show off its stunning scenery.

The village was overrun by families and visitors who made the special trip along to the popular event.

The fete was held at The Manor House, in Rowberrow Lane, and was organised by Paul and Diana Chedgy, the home owners.

Volunteers from around the area pitched in by displaying their art work, holding stalls and finding raffle prizes.

There was also a classic car show which received rave reviews.

The event attracted more than 600 people and raised £6,000 for St Michael and All Angels Church and Shipham First School’s preschool.

Rector Tim Hawkings said: “The event is a great way for people to get together. It was a fantastic day with wonderful weather.”
