Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-super-Mare has seen hundreds of people learn to swim in its pools, helped many more to keep fit and has been the setting for multiple birthday bashes, sporting events and more - the Mercury has taken a look back at when it first opened to see what has changed...
The leisure centre opened 30 years ago and since then there have been many changes in the industry.
Hutton Moor was build as a dry-side sports facility in the 1980s. It was not until 1992 it was extended to make way for the swimming pool.
The centre now has a large swimming pool, a smaller pool for children, a fitness centre, studio, sports hall, lounge bar, café and treatment rooms.
Work is underway to improve Hutton Moor as part of a £2.15million extension.
