A WESTON office block, which could be converted into flats, is up for auction with a guide price of up to £900,000.
Badger House, in Oldmixon Crescent, has been advertised by Auction House via estate agent Morgan Beddoe and states it has been used as an office complex producing a gross income of £290,000 a year when fully let.
The building, just off Winterstoke Road, has 59 office suites over three floors and it has planning permission for up to 30 flats.
Within the lot details, under ‘demand for residential units’, it states: “Despite being in a primarily industrial setting there are a number of large scale employers such as Weston General Hospital meaning there is demand for local housing.”
The report also says with the anticipated development of the new EDF nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C it may lead to strong demand for housing in Weston, which will be an ideal commuting point.
The guide price of Badger House is from £800,000-900,000 and planning permission allows for nine one-bedroom flats, two three-bedroom flats and 19 two-bedroom flats.
It will be up for auction this evening (Thurs) at the Bristol Pavilion at 7pm.
