PROPOSALS to revamp a Weston solicitors' office into a restaurant and 14 flats could damage the town centre, it has been claimed.Bristol-based chain Bottelinos wants to turn the John Hodge premises in the Boulevard into a restaurant and flats which will primarily be used for staff accommodation.Prospective Liberal Democrat MP Mike Bell and town councillor Mark Canniford have written to planning chiefs warning them the proposals will 'negatively impact' on people living in Tivoli House, a neighbouring block of flats. They are also concerned the development, the flats in particular, will create extra noise and traffic.Bottelinos says in its planning application that the development will improve the 'tired' appearance of the building.
