DONATIONS of old clothes have helped to raise £25,000 for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC).
To mark Recycling Week, which began on Monday, GWAAC – which provides emergency support across Weston and Somerset – is asking for people to donate more unwanted items to help it raise money.
The charity’s fundraising manager Emma Carter said: “We are asking people if they will make us a gift of their unwanted items to help keep us flying.
“Whether it’s that dress which has been hung up for years but has never had the tags removed, or a dodgy Christmas jumper or slippers, we want your old clothes.”
