DOZENS of former pupils from a Weston-super-Mare grammar school gathered for a reunion dinner at the weekend.

On Sunday, the Old Westonians Association met at the Royal Hotel in South Parade to talk about old times.

Former pupils of the Weston Boys’ And Girls’ Grammar School had the chance to reminisce over life at the school, which shut more than four decades ago.

The boys’ school first opened in 1922 and was joined later by the girls’ school, before both contingents closed in 1971, but the site has since has become home to Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College.

The association is always on the lookout for new members who attended the grammar school to take part in its social events.

Anyone interested in joining the Old Westonians can contact Anne Tyler on 07885 418875 or email anne.tyler473@o2.co.uk.
