Archant

Oldmixon Primary School held a scarecrow competition to gather donations for Weston Foodbank on Thursday.

Pupils aged two to 11 created characters from recycled material in a bid to win a popcorn party for their class.

Parents and carers were invited to bring in a tin of food to donate to the foodbank, in North Street, and vote for their favourite scarecrow.

The pupils also made a variety of delicious harvest treats to sell.

The combined winners were year one and year five.
