Avid gardeners in Yatton raised £1,500 for charity by opening their doors to fellow green-fingered villagers for the day.
The Yatton Garden Trail was jointly organised by the Yatton and District Horticultural Society and the Yatton and Congresbury Wildlife Action Group (YACWAG) with 14 gardens across the village open to guests on June 26.
Organiser Faith Moulin said: “It was the first garden trail in Yatton for several years and was very well attended in spite of the steady rain during the afternoon.
“It raised £1,500 for the Children’s Hospice South West’s 25th anniversary appeal and the big cheque was presented to the hospice at Charlton Farm in Wraxall.”
