WITH works at Marine Cove virtually complete, visitors can now enjoy the gardens and an official opening ceremony has been arranged.

Despite the last minute hitches with works at the gardens in Burnham, the opening ceremony has been scheduled for December 10 at 3pm.

The restoration project is being part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, along with Burnham and Highbridge Town Council, Viridor Credits and Sedgemoor District Council.

The last works to be completed is the final fitting of benches, pond works, and the final coat of paint on shelters.

If you want to volunteer at Marine Cove please contact Jacqui Strong, community gardener on 07584 909385 or jacqueline.strong@sedgemoor.gov.uk
