TWO Weston opticians have successfully completed a 120-mile charity bike ride raising an estimated £250 each.

Nick Presdee and Paul Sumray from Newman Opticians in Oxford Street completed the two-day ride in the town after starting from Magor in Wales.

The pair were joined by other riders from parent company, the Armstrong and North Group, who hope to raise £10,000 for their two designated charities.

The money will be split between Vision Aid Overseas, to help develop eyecare services across the world, and Starlight, a charity who provide treats and entertainment for seriously ill children in the UK.

Paul said: “It is great to be part of a team effort to help raise funds for these two worthwhile charities.”
