ALLERTON Church needs to raise around £15,000 for its 100-year-old organ.
The grand instrument is being attacked by woodworm and it also needs a thorough clean.
Parishioners are also hoping to install a new pipe in the organ to improve its sound and the church has applied to the Bath and Wells Diocese for permission.
Church warden, Frances Good, said: "We frequently have concerts in the church as well as weddings so it's important we keep the organ in good condition."
The church holds services at 9.15am every Sunday and has a congregation of around 40.
Members are now busy planning fund-raising events to pay for the improvements.
