A SHIVERING otter cub was found crying in the snow at the weekend.

The orphaned creature, named Snowflake, is now snuggling up in a warm towel at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill.

The little otter was discovered crying in a back garden in Bridgwater and taken to the Somerset charity.

A spokesman for the centre said: "We are not sure of the sex of the otter or his age, but we are pretty sure it is an orphan.

"The man who found him said he had been crying for a few days. He hoped the mother would return but when she didn't, he called us."
