AN ATHLETIC journalist is preparing to pound the streets of Bath to raise money for a Weston charity.Weston & Somerset Mercury reporter Mark Mistry will be taking on his fourth half-marathon to help the Weston Super Kids Appeal, a campaign to improve children's facilities at Weston General Hospital. The 25-year-old will be running the Bath Half Marathon on March 25 and says he chose the appeal after writing reports about the effort to better the paediatric facilities at the Grange Road hospital. Mark, who lives in Clevedon, is hoping to beat his previous best time of 1hr 35mins at the 13.2-mile run.He said: "I wasn't going to bother with sponsorship because it is time consuming and I hate asking people for money - but the Weston Super Kids Appeal is special and I have already seen for myself what a difference fund-raising makes.
