A Weston-super-Mare charity has had a new office installed, with help from a Worle DIY store.

Our Way Our Say, who help both young and old people of the Oldmixon, Bournville and Coronation estates, had a Portakabin space donated to them by St Barnabas Church, in Westbury Crescent, to use as an office.

However, the space was unfit for use and the charity wrote to several department stores asking for help.

Bunnings store, in Bristol Road, agreed to renovate the office by donating decorating materials and also replacing old guttering.

The charity’s project manager, Michelle Cleary, said: “A team of Bunnings staff helped us to do a full one-day makeover.

“We are very grateful for Bunnings’ help as this is now a great space for us to do our future fundraising from.”

Bunnings store manager, Aaron Remnant, said: “Our Way Our Say does some fantastic work supporting people in the area, and we are happy to help the local community with hands-on projects like restoring the charity’s Portakabin.”
