Owl prowl fun on the Mendips

AN OWL expert will swoop into Cheddar next week to see the birds in their natural habitats. Somerset Wildlife Trust member Chris Sperring will lead an owl prowl on the evening of November 22 from Black Rock in Cheddar Gorge.

AN OWL expert will swoop into Cheddar next week to see the birds in their natural habitats.

Somerset Wildlife Trust member Chris Sperring will lead an 'owl prowl' on the evening of November 22 from Black Rock in Cheddar Gorge.

Chris will take interested residents around the Mendips from 7.30pm to see the owls and lots of other nocturnal wildlife. He will also give an astronomical guide to the night sky unless it is cloudy.

The walk is £7.50 for adults and £5 for children and pensioners. Profits from the event will go towards Somerset Wildlife Trust funds. To book a place call 01823 652400.
