HUNGRY WI members tucked into a feast of pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
Members of Backwell WI tossed the treats before adding a variety of toppings as they enjoyed a special pancake morning at the Red Cross Hall.
Pupils from a Portishead drama group also celebrated the day with a fund-raising pancake race.
The junior two class from Cheryl Rowlands School of sped around the Wesley Centre, in the High Street, balancing the thin deserts in frying pans to raise money for the town's Christmas lights.
Jagger Fowler and Ella Davey were joint winners with a total of 13 tosses each during the race.
