RESIDENTS of Weston are being urged to break out their bowlers, try on their top hats, strut in their Stetsons or wear any funny hat they like on November 25.

The Hat Parade Day is being staged by North Somerset’s Brandon Trust to raise awareness of the challenges faced by local people who have learning disabilities and to boost funds in support of the charity’s work.

Thousands of invitations are being sent out to local schools, businesses and community groups and people wanting to take part as individuals or as members of any organization can call 0117 906 2916 or email hatparade@brandontrust.org
