Two former Yatton parish councillors have been given the freedom of the community they served for several years.
Maurice Blunsdon was a parish councillor in Yatton for 38 years, and only gave up the role due to ill health.
Jean Watson was a councillor for 15 years and is still involved with Claverham’s neighbourhood plan process.
Maurice and Jean were both presented with the honorary freedom of the parish of Yatton at a ceremony on October 3.
The parish council said the awards were given to Maurice and Jean as recognition for their hard work and dedication.
