THE owners of a holiday park in Kewstoke want to demolish two buildings and replace them with eight houses.Hollybush Hotels, which owns Sand Bay Holiday Village in Beach Road, has applied for full planning permission for the new development, which would include a terrace of three properties, four semi-detached houses and one detached house. All the new homes would have private garages and driveways and two to three bedrooms and would be positioned at varying distances back from the main road. The two existing properties are used by holiday park staff but if the plans are approved the new dwellings will be sold to private buyers. The proposed development will take up the same amount of land as that occupied by the existing buildings.Hollybush Hotels was granted planning permission in 2004 to carry out major alterations and extensions to its main facilities. Developing spare land on the holiday park for housing will help pay for the work.
