BOSSES of a massage parlour have been told to apply for planning permission by the end of the month or face possible closure. The owners of Emmanuelles in Baker Street, Weston, have been handed the ultimatum by North Somerset Council. If the massage parlour owners do not meet the deadline, the council says it will take legal action against the owners, which could include shutting the premises down. The problem arose after the business failed to apply for permission to change the premises from a pet grooming salon when it opened in April.Residents and community leaders are in uproar over the opening of the massage parlour. A 300-signature petition calling for it to be closed down has been given to the council's planning department.Council chiefs have also served a planning contravention order on the owners demanding more information about the business.A council spokesman said: "This will help us make a decision on the application when it is submitted. "We are also getting more information from local residents regarding the impact of the business in terms of noise and number of customers.
