Street pastors Thanksgiving Service Uphill.

MEMBERS of Weston-super-Mare’s Street Pastor community took to a church in Uphill for their annual thanksgiving service this weekend.

The pastors held their ninth anniversary service with nearly 50 members and friends gathering for an afternoon of tea and cakes before the service at St Nicholas Church in Uphill Road South.

The volunteer group, formed of members of local churches, was launched in 2006 in Weston, and patrols the streets between 10pm-4am on Saturday nights to provide care and support to anyone who has got into difficulty in the town centre.
