Archant

HUNDREDS of keen bikers strapped on helmets and got pedalling for one of Weston Hospicecare’s biggest challenges of the year, the Strawberry Jam Cycle Ride.

Eager participants gathered at Yatton railway station to line up their wheels at the starting point to conquer a range of different courses.

Riders were able to take on leisurely family day outings which consisted of 10-25 miles, the popular 50 or 75 stretches, or some eager contestants tackled the gruelling 100 mile cycle to raise funds for the hospice.

Money raised is now being counted, and weary bikers are resting after enjoying their cycle and an after-party which included live music and refreshments.
