Pensioners 'robbed' in their own home

AN ELDERLY Weston couple were 'robbed' by a man claiming to be a door-to-door salesman today (Fri), according to police.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said at some point between 9am and noon the man knocked on the door of the house in St Paul’s Road and was allowed in.

The man made off with various items, including a wallet and jewellery.

Police are on the scene conducting further investigations.

Anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously is asked to call Weston CID on 101 and should quote reference 86579/14.
