People in Hutton braved the cold weather at the weekend to take part in the village’s wassailling celebration.

Villagers treated themselves to a tipple of cider before blessing the crop for the next year during the wassail ceremony.
At the event on Saturday children dressed up in traditional costumes and danced around an apple tree in a tradition which dates back hundreds of years.
People also banged together sticks and made a racket in a bid to fend off any lurking evil spirits which may pose a threat to the village’s apple crop.
