People in North Somerset are 'happier and less anxious'

People living in North Somerset and Sedgemoor are feeling more satisfied with their lives and less anxious than they did five years ago, according to new statistics.
The office for national statistics has released new figures on personal well-being, which show people in North Somerset score their life satisfaction as 7.66 out of 10 and their happiness as 7.54 out of 10.
Across the South West people rated their overall life satisfaction as 7.73 but people living in Sedgemoor scored even higher, at 7.78 for 2015/16.
The statistics also show people in Sedgemoor and North Somerset have experienced a drop in anxiety levels in the past five years, while they feel their lives have become happier and more worthwhile.
