Person hit by train sees rush-hour services to Bristol delayed

A person has been struck by a train this morning (Monday) causing significant disruption on rail services between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol.
Trains, including those stopping at Nailsea and Yatton, are affected, according to Great Western Railway.
Delays of about 90 minutes are predicted.
A spokesman said: “Due to a person being hit by a train between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol Temple Meads all lines are blocked.”
Delays of ‘up to 90 minutes’ and some cancellations are possible, according to GWR.
At 7.30am, its spokesman said it is hopeful however the line will ‘reopen shortly’.
