THERE was good, bad and ugly in Brent Knoll this weekend, when a taste of the Wild West came to Somerset.

Sanders Garden World played host to the Boots and Saddles Western re-enactment group, which drew bumper crowds to enjoy a range of memorabilia and realistic-looking shoot-outs.

Sheriffs and outlaws provided the good and the bad, and the weather at times was downright ugly, but that did not deter the costumed westerners.

Those who missed out will be unforgiven – after all, it didn’t cost a fistful of dollars to attend, and cash raised will go to charity.
