AN ACCIDENT stopping rush-hour traffic near Worle, was chosen as our picture of the week.

Mercury reader Sally Griffiths was on the scene after a Ford Mondeo knocked over a lamp post outside Morrisons supermarket.

Emergency services were on the scene quickly and the road was fully open within a couple of hours on June 20.

This picture was uploaded to iwitness24 and was one of hundreds sent in last week.

The air day, unsurprisingly, proved incredibly popular with the Vulcan Bomber, Red Arrows and other aircraft captured by professional and amateur photographers.
