PICTURES: Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Club hosts 25th show in Claverham

Model plane enthusiasts gathered for a spectacular two-day festival in North Somerset at the weekend.

The Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Club has been a first weekend of July fixture in Claverham’s calendar over the decades and it continues to attract thousands of visitors year after year.

Saturday and Sunday saw the show celebrate its 25th anniversary.

As a result, organisers arranged a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire to mark the landmark occasion.

The airfield off Claverham Drove hosted the event once again.

Trade marquees and other activities took place too, while visitors could also pay a small charge and play with remote-controlled boats and cars as well.

Although the show was held on the club’s own land, its members exhibit across the UK.
