A DAY by the seaside is traditionally a relaxing time, but for one running club it will be anything but.

North Somerset Running Club will hold its second 24-hour run on Weston’s Grand Pier on February 4-5 to raise money for its own training facility.

The club, set up in 2004, has more than 300 members and in last year’s inaugural day-long charity race, 200 competitors took part covering a combined distance of 465 miles – the equivalent of running from Weston to Dundee.
