Plans for Weston skate park upgrade progress

PUBLISHED: 08:01 15 June 2015

Progress ‘is being made’ on proposals to upgrade the skate park at Hutton Moor.

The facility is more than 10 years old and the condition of its ramps is deteriorating.

Weston Town Council agreed to team up with private companies and a volunteer group to look to renovate the site in April 2014.

The council’s latest ground service management report says: “Progress is still being made in respect of the proposal to update the current skate park.

“Consultation is going well. The user survey has responses from more than 200 people. In addition we also arranged an onsite user consultation where we showed design ideas which had been suggested by a number of skate park installation companies.”

Grant funding applications are due to be drafted in the next few months.
