BBC One drama Poldark is being filmed in Cheddar Gorge over the next few days.
The cast of the hit show have been spotted in the village today (Monday) and are expected to be filming until Wednesday.
The show’s publicist, Lisa Vanoli, said: “They are filming at Cheddar Gorge – the scene is Sawle Village Green and it is the Festival of St Sawle – a big village celebration.”
The film crews and production teams have taken over the village’s Cliff Street car park for the next three days.
The series is set in the late 18th century and follows Ross Poldark (played by Aidan Turner) as he returns from the American War of Independence to his Cornish copper mines.
The show is now filming its third series which is an adaptation of the fifth and sixth novels in Winston Graham’s Poldark series.
In the new series Poldark tries to rebuild his marriage to Eleanor Tomlinson’s Demelza, but their peace is disturbed by the arrival of Methodist brothers Sam and Drake Carne (played by Tom York and Harry Richardson).
