POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a shop theft in Weston town centre.

Officers need to identify the woman pictured to help them with their inquiries into a shoplifting incident.

The incident occurred in WHSmith in High Street at about 1.30pm on March 28.

A woman picked up an item in the shop and hid it, before leaving without paying.

“We would like anyone who recognises the woman shown in the CCTV footage or has any information about the incident to contact us.”
