Archant

Thieves broke into a house in Weston-super-Mare and stole army medals and jewellery on Monday.

They broke into the home in Dunster Crescent between 2.45-3.30pm and stole two general service medals, plus the jewellery.

The medals – awarded for service in Saudi Arabia and Northern Ireland between 1964-68 – are engraved with the code RM22052.

Police are appealing for people to look out for these medals, particularly anyone working in pawnbroker or antique businesses.

If you see the medals, or know where they may be, call 101 and quote reference 5216164422.
