Police appeal after midnight arson

A front door of a house in Weston-super-Mare was set alight in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) prompting police to appeal for information about the arson.

The door in Bournville Road was set alight at around 12.40am.

The fire damaged the door and hallway, and was quickly extinguished by the fire service.

Paramedics treated occupants at the scene.
