Police appeal after teen robbed in town

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Weston at the weekend.

The 18-year-old victim was walking along a cycle path in Herluin Way at around 4pm on Sunday when he was grabbed by a man who demanded his mobile phone and money.

The suspect ran off in the direction of Hutton Moor Leisure Centre with the stolen items.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall and of medium build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a plain light-brown zipped-up jacket, blue jeans and possibly white shoes or trainers and carrying a plastic multi-coloured shopping bag with items inside.

Anyone who may have witnessed anything should contact Weston CID on 101 quoting crime reference number 47086/14.
