A 70-year-old woman has been missing from Weston-super-Mare since yesterday (Friday) afternoon and police say they are 'concerned' for her welfare.

Tina Wilford, aged 70, left her home yesterday at 1.30pm and has not been seen since.

She has been described as white, 5ft tall and of a slight build with short and wavy brown hair.

The clothes she was wearing have also been described as police appeal to the public for help.

She was last seen wearing a brown silk-type raincoat, navy jeans, tan ankle boots and a pink and purple scarf.

She drives a green Vauxhall Astra which has the registration number WK52 FXC.

Detective inspector Angela Burtonwood said: “Tina’s disappearance is out of character and we’re concerned for her welfare.

“We really need the public’s help in finding her so if you see her or think you might know where she is, please get in touch.

“We’re particular keen for bed and breakfast owners or hoteliers in and around Somerset to check whether she has booked in with them.

“Anyone who sees Tina, or her car, is asked to call 999 providing the call handler with the reference 5217014604.”
