POLICE in Cheddar are appealing for people to ensure their homes are properly secured after there were three burglaries in the village over the weekend (October 15-16).

PC Kat Forrest said: “We are asking people to be vigilant and to check premises are secure overnight and when they are out.”

She also encouraged people to get involved in Neighbourhood Watch schemes to keep other residents and the police informed about crime so it can be stamped out.

If you would like to report anything suspicious or have information about any crimes, call the police on 101.
