A MAN is currently in hospital with life-changing injuries following a serious accident near Weston yesterday (Fri).

Police are investigating a collision between a motorcyclist and a black Renault car which happened in Leighton Crescent in Bleadon last night.

A man in his thirties thought to be driving the motorcycle was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol soon after the incident.

A fire crew arrived on the scene at 6pm and were joined soon after by police and ambulance services.

Road closures at the Weston General Hospital roundabout and the Devils Bridge in Bleadon Hill were removed at 10.50pm last night.

Both vehicles have been recovered and police are asking for any witnesses to call 0845 4567000.
