FOUR people were arrested after police dog handlers seized suspected class A drugs from a flat in Weston’s Meadow Street on Thursday.

Officers from the Weston Neighbourhood Team, backed by a specialist drug dog, raided the house and confiscated 25 wraps of suspected drugs, plus cash.

A 39-year-old man from Weston, a 32-year-old woman from Weston and two 16-year-old boys from London were arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Mark Jenkinson said: “We took this action in response to information from the community.

“It’s thanks to this sort of local information that we’re able to obtain warrants from the court. We’re grateful for the support of the community and will continue to listen to them and take action.”

To report drug activity, call police on 101.
