Police have launched an appeal to try to track down a man who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

Simon Brown, aged 58, was last seen at 10am in the Walrow Terrace area of Highbridge.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said: “He is a white man, of slim build with short brown greying hair which is receding. He has chin stubble and is believed to be wearing a brown coloured jacket which has lots of pockets.

“He is also carrying a dark blue shoulder bag.

“He may appear to be in some discomfort as he has on-going pain from his back, shoulder and hips.

“Although he normally wears spectacles he does not have them with him and struggles to read without them.”

Police said searches are being carried out around Highbridge to try to find him.

The spokesman added: “We would like Simon, or anyone recognising him, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 5216193199.”

Police have provided an update on the case, which can be seen here.
