Police have been called to an Asda supermarket this morning (Tuesday) after an ‘unattended item’ was discovered.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary are at the supermarket in Highbridge in Caxton Road.

Police have tweeted this morning: “Please be aware Asda in Highbridge has decided to close as a precautionary measure after the discovery of an unattended item.

“Officers are currently on scene assisting them.

“We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding.”
