POLICE are looking for a silver Renault Clio after a man was left with serious head injuries after an alleged hit and run in Weston yesterday.

Four people have been released without charge by police following the incident.

A man was hit around 2.20am on Thursday morning at the junction of Alexandra Parade and Camden Terrace, leaving him with serious head injuries.

A motorist was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the incident but has now been released, while the injured man is currently still in Weston General Hospital, where his condition has improved.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary would now like to speak to the occupants of a silver, three-door Renault Clio from 2001-2006, or with an 01-56 registration plate, which is likely to have recent damage.

Anyone who has seen this car or may know its occupants is being asked to call Weston police station on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
