THIS sinister masked raider is still at large after a frightening robbery involving a hammer at Axbridge Co-Op.

Police have now released the picture of the balaclava-clad robber, after being unable to catch him after a three-month hunt.

The man – described as being aged 20-30, around 5ft 7in tall, and with a strong Bristolian accent – targeted the shop in The Square on May 25.

He demanded cash from frightened staff, and escaped with a ‘significant’ amount of money.

Public appeals were issued by police at the time, but the suspect has still yet to be identified.

However, officers say they ‘remain committed to identifying the person responsible’.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, or alternatively share information via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
