A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital following a fire in Weston-super-Mare town centre which is believed to have been started deliberately.
Two fire crews were called to a top-floor flat fire in Oxford Street on Monday afternoon.
An ambulance was also called and it took the man to Weston General Hospital.
Crews were able to put out the fire and ventilate the flat.
The case has now been handed over to Avon and Somerset Constabulary to investigate.
