On December 16, officers were in the town's precinct giving out crime-prevention advice as well as offering discounts on bike helmets, garage defenders and heavy duty padlocks as part of efforts to prevent thefts.

During the same day, the Youth Local Action Team at Gordano School in Portishead teamed up with PCSO Dawn Tremlett to security mark bikes, mobile phones and laptops.
