THE Police are calling on North Somerset’s young crime fighters to help them in the fight against bogus callers.

Primary school pupils are being asked to come up with their own radio adverts to help awareness of doorstep crimes, especially among older residents.

Avon and Somerset police have written to every primary school in the force area to enter the Crime Fighters competition, with the winners getting to spend a day at the BBC studios in Bristol and hear their advert recorded professionally.

For more information about the competition email crimefighters.competition@avonandsomerset.police.uk. The deadline for competition entries is November 15.
