Deliberate vandalism of parked cars has sparked an Avon and Somerset Constabulary appeal.

Today (Thursday), police released video footage and a photograph of a man they wish to speak to about crimes committed in Somerset.

The incidents took place in Cheddar, late on September 11.

A police spokesman said: “We want to identify the man using a mobile phone in this CCTV footage as part of a criminal damage inquiry.

“Several parked cars were damaged in the Silver Street area of Cheddar, at sometime between 11pm and 11.59pm on September 11.

“We want to speak the man in the footage below about these incidents.”

Anyone with information about the crimes, or who the man pictured is, has been asked by police to call them on 101 and then give the call-handler the reference number 5218204509.
