A SEX attacker is still being hunted by police three years after he carried out a spate of attacks across Weston.Seven women were assaulted between September 14 and October 11, 2003. The attacker struck three times on the Bournville estate, on the path between Grasmere Drive and Chaucer Road, between September 15 and 18.Women were also attacked in Summerlands Road on September 14, Earlham Grove on September 21 and Milton Road on September 26. The attacker carried out his final assault in Ullswater Close on October 11.Police say the case has not been officially closed and are hoping more evidence will come to light.The women who were indecently assaulted were aged between 17 and 42. One victim, who was attacked on September 15, later claimed the offender raped her.Extra police patrols were mounted in Weston, women were urged not to go out alone at night and during police inquiries 450 names were checked and seven people were arrested.However, police did not have enough evidence to press charges against anyone.A photofit of the man (right) was circulated around Weston. He was white, aged about 20, with a pointed nose and a pierced eyebrow. His hair was blond or bleached and was cut short, but had a long fringe.
