POLICE in Weston say they have seized a sizeable amount of cannabis plants, after swooping on two addresses in the town this morning.

The first raid was carried out at a flat in Orchard Street at around 11am, with officers saying they had found evidence that a large cannabis factory had operated out of the property.

The police then moved onto a second address in Atlantic Road South shortly before 12noon, where they uncovered a factory with hundreds of cannabis plants.

So far one arrest has been made as part of the operation.
